In the name of freedom, in their first step, the Kara family is caught in the crossfire but they are unable to escape unharmed. Ilknur’s condition is the biggest obstacle they face on this road. With his family making such a sacrifice, this is weighing very heavily on Nazif’s conscience. To make matters worse, the road they have chosen has many obstacles that await them. Feride who finds her brother’s lifeless body is now facing death in the most hurtful manner. Orhan is also facing very difficult days with his father now being free. Turgut is certain that Orhan knows where is family is hiding. There is big torture that awaits Orhan in the torture room.

Nazif's decision deeply shakes the entire family. Mahir, who puts up a fight at the cost of his own life for his father's liberation, is forced to find another way to save his father from the rope during the period of time until the President's approval.
The only person left in Mahir's hands is judge Akın who broke Nazif's pen. Mahir is sure that Akın gave this decision while under the influence, and wants to find by who and with what he has been threatened, and turn the tide. He appears in front of Akın however convincing judge Akın will not be easy at all. Mahir, on one side, pursues those from the armed assault on his family that night. Songül feels very guilty.
As a result of the investigation that has been carried out with the witnesses' statements, it has become definite that Melih has committed suicide. Feride knows that Melih would not commit suicide without a reason. The "why" questions prey on her mind (it can literally mean they gnaw her away). Mahir realizes that Judge Akın has died, and this makes things even more difficult. Every path to save his father that he takes, closes for him, but he has no intentions of giving up. Even though Feride is doing all she can to help him, she is also trying to find out why her brother committed suicide. Feride knows that the investigation regarding her as a Judge is not going to have a positive outcome, she tells Suna that she is going to resign. As Suna does what she can to stop Feride, she makes a huge mistake. This mistake will help Feride find out the truth as to why this investigation was even started.
Orhan manages to get transferred into the same cell as his father. Father and son are now reunited, Nazif is suspicious as to how the others in the cell are acting strange towards Orhan, he cannot figure out why this is happening. He is about to figure out what Orhan has been up to while in prison.
Mehmet Saim’s furious when he discovers that Melih committed suicide based on the threats that he received from Turgut. He is determined to make Turgut pay for this. Meanwhile, Turgut is confident that at his hearing the next day he is going to be freed. The day of the hearing is full of surprises for Turgut.
Now that Turgut has managed to add Mehmet Saim to his enemy list, he no longer has anything left to hold on to. While he is helpless, and going stir crazy, the unexpected offer that he receives from Mahir is truly shocking to him.

Orhan with his skills has succeeded from hiding the truth from his father, but he is aware that this is only temporary. He decides to take precautions (take action) to prevent his father from growing even more suspicious.
Ayten, who is jealous from Süeda, Necdet's casino singer, tries to draw her husband's attention on her by using her femininity.
